Yep it's definitely possible; I quit the game about 3 years ago and only just came back 3 months ago when someone mentioned the HoM calculator had come out because I'm looking forward to GW2.

I'd never cared too much about my HoM when I was playing because it was only there as a trophy thing but when there actually became a benefit to it I started looking seriously into kitting it out.

In 3 months at a slow/steady pace (with a 2 week break for a holiday OS in the middle) I've gone from 0/50 to 16/50 and that's not even really trying. I was working 10 hour days and only devoting 2-3 hours a night to playing when I got home afterwards.

For someone with a lot more time on their hands, even if it's for a disappointing reason like a job loss, I'm sure you can get through your HoM in no time at all.

Also, are you in a guild and / or alliance? Don't be afraid to ask your guildies and allies for help or if they have items that you can use - I won't say everyone does, but many people will do discounts on trades for ally members or will just give away items for free that could advance you through your HoM further.

Then what do you have to say about this?

(You could even do these 1 per day with the Zaishen Vanquish/Mission) This should give you plenty of seed money and elite tomes (which you can sell) to get you started. Like others said take advantage of farming events and the weekly nicholas the traveller scavenger hunt to get consumables to build up your 3 consumable titles.

The odds are the same every year you need luck. Year of the tiger I got 0 Tigers from like 800-900 fortunes. Usually the drop rate is around 0.33%

Since you said you play from way back in the day I would suggest not selling any weapons you have from back in the day until you get them price checked on guru. I saw someone who wanted to get 50/50 after not playing from about the same time period as you (if i recall correctly) and made a few thousand ectos off a single weapon chances are slim but you never know what you have lying around in storage after such a long period away.

I went from 0 points to 45/50 points in just 2.5 months of playing from scratch.

I didn't continue any further because I needed 25 more maxed titles to hit 50 points, and I find titles too troublesome so I just stopped there.

As for minis... Don't pay over 30-35k for one. Like the guy above, I made a list when I went out for mine. Checked the price guide on this, and another site. On average, it's gonna cost about 15k each x50= 750,000.

I filled my Hero Monument first, because it was obviously cheapest- being able to cap/train all the pets myself, and farm/buy the remaining hero armor sets myself, or cheaply.

Then I filled my Minipet, because it's the 2nd easiest/cheapest one to fill. Just sit inside the Eye of the North and that's where the mini traders are.

First I got all first year whites for like 10k total.
Then all 2nd year whites.
Then all 3rd years whites.
Then all 1st year purples.
Then all 4th year whites.
Then all 2nd year purples.
Then all 3rd year purples and 5th year whites, because they are about the same price.

I had maybe 5-7 mini's in my account when I started, from the characters I created ages ago and then quit playing gw.

Go to the guildwiki and create a list of every mini. Categorize first by year, then color. (Ignore all golds and greens). Make your own Moa once you've played enough of the game to be able to, and New year the gold, like everyone said, or hopefully be lucky like me and get a Prince Rurik, lol.

Hero and Mini's are DEF. the best/easiest monuments to fill first. 16/50 for less than 900,000 gold. (Some single points, or in the case of consumeable titles cost around that for 1 solitary TITLE).

Weapons is what im 'working' on atm. Bought a cheap destroyer for 50-65k, and have farmed war supplies for a half dozen or so oppressors. Im not worrying on it too much, because I still 15 or so titles Im also working on to get the Title monument filled.

Armor is pretty much filled organically. I had 4-5 suits before i ever heard of the Hom. 2 for my main, and sets for a few characters I don't even really play. I'm not even concerning myself with it for the nonce, because Obsidian armor is gonna be ridiculous to buy. (Figure ill Jade Quarry for a few weeks to end up getting it. I like JQ and Zkeys are a pretty decent source of income if you don't like farming ectos or gemsets).

As for the Titles monument... It's a grind. Period. My suggestion, and path actually, is/was to just beat all 3 campaigns all the way through, pretty easy. Then, go back and master the normal and hard modes. Do the normal mode mastery if you didnt get it through the organic playthrough, then the hardmode right after because you now know the mission map and its fresh in your mind.

For 'hard' missions... Wait for the zaishen quest, or visit the 'services offered' page on this site, and hire someone to run it.

Vanqs are time consuming, but all of 'em are doable. Do the zaishen vanquish with a group every day +1 other on your own with hero's to speed it along.

Really didn't mean to write all this, meant to just talk about my Mini's strategy/experience. But oh well. Good luck. See ya at the top.

Build a toon for farming and practice farming asap. There's 2 events coming up. The small special event drops pies and booze. The massive xmas one does wintersday stuff. allocate extra time to farm and play during those events if you can. There are plenty of farming guides for most character types.

Vaettir, Snowman, Raptors are some the fastest. Theres a wintersday event guide to help with wintersday gifts. If you do enuff of it, you can get drunkard, sweet tooth, and party titles. Those are usually minimum 1k platinum, but will be more if you have to buy later.

In the mean time buy up tots if you can. Try not to pay more than 30k a stack now. Theres tons. I bought another 100 stacks this week. But they will dry up. In fact cookies are a great buy for 15k or so a stack. You can death spam them.

If you don't have money, check your inventory. If you have any old weapons and equipment from year 1. Everything including some runes and mixed dyes could worth nothing to a small fortune now. Screen it and pc it in the pc thread. Especially things like max r7/r8 weapons and other stuff that can no longer drop.
Don't do pm's cuz you might get scammed.

If you don't have much, no worries. Just focus and follow existing guides to get titles. Read before doing and it will save you time in the long run. Try to Vanquish, hunt skills and do carography at the same time. Join a good guild if you havent.

Get your heros up to speed so you don't have to ask people for help. Most all of the game is doable with heros and you won't have to wait. Between them and wiki for info on missions etc, you should be fine.

You can msg me if you need basic weapons and stuff for you and your heros. Idk what I have, but I find useable stuff daily. Nothin fancy but serviceable is all you need for now.
